Phew… That’s a Wrap for ARBS 2022!
After a four year hiatus ARBS returned bigger and better this year at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Southbank. Total visitor numbers exceeded 7,000 and over 220 exhibitors were on display, testament to why ARBS is the biggest trade show of its kind in Australia with a presence covering Air Conditioning and Refrigeration as well as Heating and Building Services.
Thanks to all who attended and popped in to say hello at our HydroHeat stand over the three days. Some familiar faces and many new ones welcomed the opportunity to catch up and discuss the latest in hydronic heating trends making it a huge success for HydroHeat.
The HydroHeat stand featured a plumbed in cascade installation of BAXI Duo-Tec hydrogen ready boilers, a BAXI Auriga Air to Water Electric Heat Pump, as well as our high efficiency gas powered PowerHT+ boiler. We fielded many enquiries across our range of products and services, and it was super interesting to hear about the projects contractors were working on and the challenges and changes they had been facing in the last couple of years. Being able to touch base with customers face to face in the real world was such a refreshing change! It gave us terrific insight into industry trends and what the market needs and expects.
The topic of alternative fuels and and future energy sources was high on the agenda, and our very own Shane Lewis presented a seminar on this as part of the official ARBS program. The presentation discussed the future role of Hydrogen as a gas blended fuel source, and specifically looked at the implementation of a 100% Hydrogen powered hydronic heating system at the Deakin Uni HyCel project in Warrnambool. Shane’s seminar generated a heap of interest and raised critical questions for our industry around the future of alternative fuels and the topic of what role natural gas plays in our future.
So that’s ARBS 2022, done and dusted! Now its back to work.. until next time!
